Due to increasing work commitments and unforeseen circumstances, the next 2 Big Girls Galore events have been cancelled (August and October)....please accept my apologies for this !

The Christmas party will go ahead as planned, on the 17th December at The Six Hills Hotel.

Hopefully, the workload will not be as bad in the New Year,

Good Afternoon All :)

I really hope all who attended last nights Big Girls Galore First Anniversary party had a really good time. Big Girls Galore wish Pauline a special Happy Birthday, congratulations on reaching a milestone, and a Happy Birthday to Robert and Tina too.

I'd like to thank Ugean for popping in and supporting us, although I was very concerned that, as the venue was not on the A13, he would not find it. But he did and arrived safe and sound x

Please note that the next 2 dates have been posted on the events page....take a look. The Christmas party date will be confirmed.

As well as me, who had the small samosas and onion bhajis last night ? I have noticed some strange odours this morning and a sizeable hole has appeared in the ozone layer over Leicestershire. Polar bears have been seen surfing down the River Trent on small ice floes due to the premature rapid melting of the polar ice caps. (OR IS IT JUST ME ? lol)

Sorry I've been a bit quiet ! Last months photos have not been posted yet due to the mislaying of my camera and lack of suitable connectivity between Iain's camera and my PC, all should be rectified tomorrow !

Please note that May's event has been cancelled, BUT tonight, April and June will go ahead as planned.

Watch out because the June event is Big Girls Galore's first birthday !

I am pleased to announce that CURVE is back online and will be holding party nights regularly. Their first party night is on June 4th (Saturday), in London. I feel honoured to have been asked by Eugene (Ugean !) to host this first event alongside Rosemary (heathrowgirl) who you will have met at BGG. If any of you girls and guys want to come and support Curve, please email me via this website and we will make arrangements to go in convoy to the big city lol. Happy New Year All !!!

A Great Big Thank You to everyone who came to our Christmas Party last night. Thanks to those who left Christmas gifts for me.....I won't be opening them till the 25th ! It was a really kind thought and I feel touched.

I really enjoyed the night and you all made the last Big Girls Galore night of 2004 extra special. They did forecast snow, so there was a thought in my mind that it may be an all-nighter, but it didn't snow.....never mind eh ? lol (if it had, we may have had to shoot the DJ before dawn BUT I personally was thinking of doing this before midnight anyway lol !)

Angie and Dave.....we missed you !!! Hope you are both well ?

Thanks to all of you who came and made last nights party such great fun.....and a special BIG GIRLS thanks to Nigel of Wheels of Steel mobile disco for a great disco at such short notice !! For those of you who didn't know....our regular disco guy let us down at the last minute (well....we found that out about 5.30pm last night....!!!). We tried numerous alternatives and Nigel took the gig at 6.30pm....plenty of time to get sorted for an 8pm start !!!!!!!!! and I'm sure everyone who went will agree what a fantastic job Nigel did for us.....thanks again !!

This is the latest development in Big Girls Galore World Wide Presence !

We are coming up to our 6^th Big Girls Galore party night and though numbers are not outrageously high (yet) we have a hardcore of supporters – and to all of those, I say a huge THANKS (you know who you are !).

Big Girls Galore - Venue Information

The reason I have chosen the Six Hills venue are numerous :

• The location is on the northbound side of the A46 Fosseway, within 90 mins of Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Peterborough and Lincoln and less than 40 mins from Nottingham, Burton, Derby, Newark and Grantham and 10 mins from Leicester. AND 2 hours from London – M1 North Ladies and Gents, no passports required.
• The hotel room rates quoted on the website are exclusive to Big Girls Galore
• The venue is all on one level (the only stairs are in the hotel itself and at that time of night, crawling is a necessity lol)
• The function room itself has plenty of space, with comfortable seating
• The owners and staff are very friendly and laid back
• A free on-site car park within staggering distance of the door

We have made many friends in the short time Big Girls Galore has been in existence and we hope to introduce some of them through this news page.
